First International Conference on the Rehabilitation of Dystonia Dystonias are among the most common movement disorders. Botulinum toxin and deep brain stimulation have revolutionized their therapy. However, there are still considerable unmet therapeutical needs. This was the reason to organise the First International Congress on Treatment of Dystonia in 2010. The response was overwhelming: more than 450 participants from over 45 countries came to Hannover for an intense 3-day program. With this encouragement we are now calling for the second congress in this series. With 3 years in between we believe there is now ample new data to discuss. For the first time we are able to reach out to rehabilitation community with The First International Conference on Rehabilitation of Dystonia which will be incorporated as a pre-meeting satellite event. We hope that this meeting will continue to serve as an open platform for all of us who want to collaborate for improving the future of patients with dystonias. E Altenmüller, D Dressler, JK Hrauss May 8 - 9, 2013 Hannover Germany
